The video was made specifically with SBG in mind. So I hope it doesn't bore you. And why would I post here? I'd argue this would fall into the realm of non-functional collectible swords. Just like movie swords and Kit Rae swords. Thanks all! Note to Admins: I have my beliefs as far as lightsabers falling into a category reviewable here...but...fact is, you guys are in charge, not me. So I understand if you choose to move this review or delete it. Thank you! Crockett

AAAAAAHHHHH! Aaron! This post must stay! I have not even finished watching your video and I love it! Whether officially a sword or not this is awesome and right on the mark for what interests me- probably lots of other forumites too.
edit/add: I've started watching the 'Vaders Vault' stuff and...there are no words for how incredible all this is. Seriously, you made your own lightsaber. People can have their own custom lightsaber. Damn!

Right on. Thanks, Tom!
I'm working with an iMac at my folk's house for my reviews simply because it is incredibly easy to use when it comes to making videos. So if I make any more, it'll probably be in this format.

I like it! Although, I WISH there was a way it could qualify as a functional sword...

Pretty nice review, Aaron; got me building my own saber last night. I just have to, you know, figure out the electric bits... :?

Karma given and well deserved.
I'm sure many of us have imagined having our own real working lightsaber. Apart from all the other times I've imagined this; I remember one time in particular. I was 14 and had the most vivid and real dream- I'd say it's in my top 3 most real feeling dreams. I was working in this local thrift store where I volunteered and while rummaging through boxes that had just arrived I found it. A lightsaber. The rest of the dream consisted of slicing all kinds of things up etc. When I got home I hid it in my room so no one would take it away. Then I woke up. In a sleepy daze I tore up/searched my room frantically for over 5 minutes before it dawned on me that what I was searching for just couldn't be real. Another couple of minutes trying to somehow come to terms with that- I was devastated.

MaybeI can help you figure that out. What Setup were you going for? ie, What Led? What power source? etc.

I too think this can fall in the fantasy catagory. Shoot, we've had reviews of nerf foam swords before, amoung other things. This was a cool review, and I even tinkered with design function on their website. Neat stuff Crockett.

I was just looking at the basic Seoul P4 Electronics kit since it seems to have everything I'd need, I'm just not sure if that's everything I'd need.

Don't forget the blade, the drill/tapping of the rention screw hole on the blade holder and of course the blade retention screw itself!
