i now have 3 swords (H/T longsword, hanwei side sword, and cold steel broadsword) and was wondering if there is a good (but still cheap) way to display the swords. the main reason i want something to display them is because i read that it's not too good to keep the swords in the scabbards all the time. i was wondering if something like this tinyurl.com/38rznww or this tinyurl.com/39cfjab would be able to fit the western swords i have, since it looks like those are more for katanas. thanks, and happy new year!

thanks for the quick replies. i try to do some cutting on weekends so i was worried that leaving the swords in the scabbards for the rest of the week would be bad for it. i'll probably get the 3 tier thing from amazon but leave it in the scabbard, since i do have small animals running around
happy new year!

Howdy. I much prefer wall racks for my European swords which are the majority of my collection. One rack holds four swords and is actually my father's old gun rack that he was kind enough to let me appropriate. I also use brass wall hooks, such as for bath robes and such, mounted in pairs, using plastic drywall hangers and screws. I have one Japanese stand for my Cheness tenchi katana, ko-katana, and wak. My primary issues with that type of stand are that it's very recognizable as Japanese (great for Japanese swords), and that they take up a lot of room and can end up getting knocked over, which is downright no good and dangerous. Think about where you are going to put that stand and factor in the lengths of the swords, I don't say this in a "you can't figure this out on your own" kind of way, but in a "here's hoping you don't end up figuring this out the way I did" kind of way. I'm planning on posting pics of my collection and how it's displayed soon. This is a topic close to my heart, as perhaps the length of this post may imply . . .
