Hello! I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself. My name is Zach and I've been a fan of the sword buyer's guide for years, so I don't know why I took so long to join the forum! I've been collecting swords for about 15 years, adding new swords as my budget allows :lol: I've recently started customizing some of my blades I'm not too happy with (I have extensive wood working training so I mean customizing the sword handles and scabbards only, I have only a very basic knowledge of metal working) so I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions in the future. In the mean time I plan to read up (so as not to make a fool of myself haha) and look forward to joining the discussion!

Hey Zach, glad you decided to join. I'm a wood worker myself, third generation, so I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about! My grand dad was the fella that everyone in the town came to when they wanted furniture built. I did move your thread to the "welcome wagon" board that's for new members to introduce themselves; I hope you don't mind. I'd like to see some pics of your work sometime, I'm sure you know by now that customizing blades can be very addictive, thoughts tend to run rampent  . As far as questions and making a fool of yourself, I and most everyone here believes that the only stupid question is the one not asked!.......well that and the one about "how much wood can a woodchuck chuck......that one is really kinda stupid.  |

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I hope to post some pics this evening when I get off work. I live in a small apartment at the moment so most of my stuff is at my parents' place for now (free storage woohoo!) But I can post what I've got for sure. Again, thanks for the welcome!
