Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of too many other mid-level independent shops like scorpion swords ( traditionalarcherybows.com/ ) in the 200-500 USD price range like that? i know there's not much between really high end stuff like fable or odin blades..i'm thinking it would be best to go the handmade route for my next blade because i don't see many production models that jump out..i'd be willing to spend a little more if it meant no compromises and being handmade. (i'm looking for a falcata/kopis style if you were wondering ) I like scorpion swords and will probably end up getting it from there anyway but i was curious if there's any other makers even out there like that, even for any types of swords, etc?

their prices are a steal literally none that I know of, especially made in the USA, that come even close. their Alexander and black asp have been gnawing at me for a really long time.

AFAIK Scorpion swords are one-of-a-kind on the market... My two cents on that.

ahh, that's what i figured, i know places like baltimore knife and sword will do some custom work, as will tinker and atrim but that's getting up into the 4 figure range. what's strange is i know there's definitely a big market for 300 dollar or so handmade stuff like that..

Moved topic. This doesn't really belong in the classifieds, plus you may get more responses here. As for your query, man it'd be hard to find many manufactuers like Scorpion; best adivce I can give would be to ask every vendor/maker you're interested in and compare prices.

F.m.: I hadn't heard anything about the odinblade $300 deal so I wasn't sure if he was still doing it. Which sword did you get from him?
Also why would you want another vendor like scorpion? Just buy from those guys, their prices seem to be extremely reasonable and that alone is a reason to support them

arghhhh, I am so mad at you f.m.!!! Just bought the black asp from scorpion's site. I asked him to re-contour the grip for greater comfort. If you want to wait or aren't planning to place an order soon, I'll be sure to pm you my thoughts when I get it. so worried that scorpion swords might raise their prices later in case they can't make ends meet ;o well rather kick myself now then later
