Heilsa! Here are some of my swords. I have a wall rack, so from the top down we have: 1) My custom fantasy katana by Eddie Floyd 2) WWII Shin Gunto company grade officer's katana 3) Kris Cutlery wakizashi 4) French made Confederate saber 5) Godfred damascus viking sword 6) Argentina saber - I don't know much more than it was made in Solengen, probably late 1800 tpo early 1900's. 7) Another Frankensword, from MRL's sale, very nice handling blade, but Irish quillons and a fishtail pommel? 8) MRL's Scottish broadsword. Very good cutting sword! Next is another MRL - The Lightning Lady rapier. Here's a vintage Del Tin seax blade a friend hilted for me. I have one of MRL's scimitars as well. Can't locate the picture, tho. I got it at the sale, and I love cutting with it (it really loves mailing tubes!) but it didn't come with a scabbard. I look every year at the sale, but no joy so far... -Clay

Thanks!
The fantasy katana is a re-creation of the one MRL used to sell, way back when.
Eddie (who was MRL's sword designer for many years) designed the original sword, and made me this one with some changes I wanted. The handle is longer, and a bit thinner than the original, and it has a scent stopper pommel and "S" type quillons instead of the original wheel and tsuba.
The handle scales are teak, but I'm thinking of getting Eddie to put sharkskin over it with silver wire.
The blade is shockproof sawmill blade steel, and very tough. It loves pool noodles. Eddie is making me a short sword to match, so I can't wait to have a full kit for it.

Ahhh, Christmas!!
My lovely Lady got me a sword for Christmas! Pics will come soon. It needs some cleaning, and I need to get it sharpened, but I now have an older Del Tin sword...the Dracula sword is how I think of it. Shortish wide blade, brass pommel with engraving around it. Handles like a dream.
Thank you, Maggi!! Love you!
