Arrgh matey, Well finally got my pirate katana, better late then never as they say. Must say I'm very pleased. Justice even threw in a sword bag. I was a bit worried that the blade would look to big with a basket hilt but not at all, it has a very balanced look. Speaking of balance the blade is very nicely balanced in hand, not at all blade forward. If I were to make any changes it would be to line the basket and wrap the handle, but seeing how this is only a collecters item I think it is just fine the way it is.One nice surprize is the hamon which is real and nicely done, runs a little close to the ha, but not bad over all. All in all for the money a good deal! thanks justice.  |

All the pics of it that were online seem to have disappeared, the thread on SFI has no pics anymore either.
Bushido will have to post some new ones. It was a cool idea and well executed.

Sorry guys, just checked in and saw this. was going to tell you there were pic's in the classified section also on SFI but guess there gone. I'm on vacation right now and won't be back home till x-mas and believe it or not don't have a camera with me. I'll get some pic's up as soon as I can, it is worth a look. More I swing this thing around more I think it needs the handle wrapped, maybe black leather with some silver wire? Or maybe just some same? A friend wanted to "play" with it till I showed her how sharp it was, her reply " hey that's a real sword", gotta love it,lol.  went out and bought a camera, man you guys are tough.  |

Me , not sure ito would look good on this, maybe in leather? LOL, had it mailed to the winter digs. Think I would have made the news otherwise.
