Does anyone know where I can get ammo for Snider-Enfield for a reasonable price?

That all depends on what a "reasonable price" is. Ten-X made some .577 Snider ammo a few years ago, but I don't know if they still do. They still have it in their product listing. You can find them at www.tenxammo.com and maybe call to see what the situation is currently. But expect to pay the "reasonable price" of $139.99 per box of 20 cartridges. This looks to be a reloader-only-need-apply situation if you're going to be doing any shooting with it.

I guess I am SOL. Damn those Brittish Empire ammo and their availibility (or lack thereof). I have both Snider-Enfield and Martini-Henry and no available ammo to fire them. Suck!

Buffalo arms is a good place to start www.buffaloarms.com/search.htm. I did not even think they make all the reloading components for this rifles until I read this post , the reloading brass is a bit pricey at $3.89 each but if you stuff it with black powder or substitute they would last for a while , just remember to wash the case right away and dry them after shooting .

invest in reloading equipment. It's nowhere near as hard as it seems.
