The package was delivered here this morning at 11:35, thanks for the great shipping free and recieved it in under a week ;D. When I opened the box everything was tightly packaged and in great shape. Of course I immediately grabbed some bottles and headed out side to get some cutting in before I go to work.
once out of its scabbard the sword preformed beautifully easily pickle chipping gallon and half gallon jugs while leaving them standing. Then I progressed to the smaller and thicker 20 ounce and 1 litter bottles. The first cut went through flawlessly on all of them, though it did have problems subsequently as it had lost a lot of the water, though it did send them flying it sent them flying in 2 pieces or at the least a nasty gash through the side. (I would put at least some of this to my technique.) Satisfied I decided to wipe of my blade and call it a day for now.
this is where it gets bad.....
I decended the steps in jubulation with my experience of this new blade when the concrete steps Burst up out of the ground attacking my blade with a viciousness not of this world. Thrashing at it as if on order from Crom to destroy my joy.
ok maybe not but while going up the steps I did trip a little and the tip of the did get blunted so Im going to have to figure out how to best reshape that to a sharp point. Over all though I am very pleased with the sword and cant weight to spend some more time with it tonight.
oh one more thing the little knife that comes with it in the scabbard was slightly sharp but does cut beautifully. I decided to test it out on the box that the sword came in with a straight down slash and it left a good 1ft slice in it. The only problem is that it caused it to bend so I had to bend it back, which wasnt a big deal since it bent at the connection to the little handle.
