My Ronin Katana recently had a loose upper seppa. I clamped down on the blade collar and struck the kashira with a rubber mallet a few times to try to tighten it up, but this seems to be only a temporary fix. Should I strip the sword down and put some epoxy on the seppa to keep it tight?
Edit: After a bit work, I've shimmed the seppa by wrapping a length of dental floss around the tang between the seppa and the tsuba, works amazingly well for how simple it is.
