Here is a quick description of my Last Legend Field MKII Competition Katana, 1090 high carbon steel blade, differentially clay tempered. It has also had the "Cryo Treatment" on the blade, this is done after the blade has been sharpend Last Legend slowly cool the blade in Liquid Nitrogen then slowly bring the blade up to room temperature, this is ment to give better edge retention! mmm Blade length 28", overall 40.5" long. (no bohi) 1.1" sori. Weighs just a shade under 3lb quite a meaty blade but is still lively. Very nice natural hamon, razor sharp, (the sharpest blade ive ever handled) very tight ito wrap and real rayskin, tripple pegged tsuka, Horn Fuchi and Kashira and menuki dragonfly design. Ive only ever cut pool noodles with it as i would not want to scratch the blade, with such a nice natural hamon. I have two other Last Legend blades and i would buy another. www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=23683gk9IC&i=921159 www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=23683gk9IC&i=921160 www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=23683gk9IC&i=921161 www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=23683gk9IC&i=921162 www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=23683gk9IC&i=921163 hope you like it! i do. thanks for looking

Hi List Price was £395 about 3 years ago in the UK, i paid with £cash ;D and got a fair discount plus some freebies slap a wad of notes on the counter and get a better deal than with a plastic card, my last 2 Last Legend Blades i got from the U.S. an even better deal but you cant inspect before you part with your cash. mudguts

Nice! Very nice! Another satisfied LL customer, eh? Last legend kats are one of those subjects that a lot of people like to argue about, but it seems like almost everyone who actually owns one is quite happy with them.

Hi I also own the Last Legend Taketoshi 2000 Nohara Through Hardened, this has got to be the best cutter i own, balance, design, fit and finish all spot on, cuts freestanding tatami like a laser. I have the blind warrior too, again well made (by Generation 2). I am so looking forward to Last Legends next series of katana a Shobo would be nice, O kissaki, mmmm.

My last legend is the best katana I have ever owned (and I own a bugei, shh! don't tell the sword snobs) it has got impeccable edge retention and amazing sharpness. The blade cuts through empty bottles with ease and yet it can retain its edge after slicing through four inch thick saplings. This one fateful day where I found my sisters friends messing around with my swords (while they were high no less ) I noticed they were throwing my last legend into a tree like a shuriken. I shooed them off and retrieved my sword expecting bends and a broken tip, but no the blade was perfect! Now thats what I call sturdy.

just out of interest which last legend do you own, if it survived being thrown into a tree, it must either be through hardened or very durable
