I just nail two nails in the wall, hang it with the blade pointing down, you don't see the nails, just the sword.

Hello all, That is what I did with my spears and some things in my collection, just two nails side by side to hold the item in place. Then all you see is the item on display. Other things, like my axes and cavalry sabre, I used those hooks for screwing into the ceiling joist for hanging plants, lights, etc, from. The hook part helps hold it more securely. I try to put at least one nail and/or hook out of a pair in a stud when possible. But sometimes, in order to place something in a certain spot, that is not possible. Like my Cavalry sabre. As you can see from the attached pic, it is starting to pull the the hook's threaded shank down into the sheetrock. Perhaps I should get a placque or something. Freebooter
