Slight problem with my Cold Steel Hvy Cav sabre

Hello,
I was going to mention this some time ago, but here goes:
As I mentioned on another thread I had to send my Cold Steel Sabre back due to the scabbard coming apart and a very noticable dip in the edge of my blade as if the sharpening guy ground too much at that spot.
Anyway, they sent it back and I have had it a few weeks now. It is still an awesome, well balanced repro of the typical 1840 Heavy Cavalry sabre (although they call it the 1860). But after close examinination of it I got the impression and wonder if all they did was ground down the blade on either side of the dip for a ways to even it up somewhat, resharpen that area, and then send me the same sabre back. Either that or the new one they sent had a slight depression along the edge at the same spot as the other one.
But what is more aggrevating is the fact that my handle has become a slight bit loose. I love my swords and don't abuse them. But I do handle them quite a lot, hefting, swinging, practicing cuts, parries and thrusts in the air and also against car tires on a pell I built, etc.. So since owning that sabre, all I have done is hold, heft and go through my sabre repertoir in the air, tried to cut a matt roll a couple of times, and practice certain cuts/stikes/thrusts on old car tires on a pell I made. And these strikes and thrusts were mostly relatively slow and light in hit strength where I was merely trying to develope finess and coordination. Only a couple of times have I put any force into a strike or a thrust on those old tires.
But I have noticed here lately when I sort of move or shake the sabre back and forth in my hand, in the direction of the edge and back again towards back of blade (something I do sometimes to practice and strengthen my grip, wrist, and forearm), it moves ever so slightly and makes a tapping or popping sound in the handle near the forward part near the guard as if it is slightly loose. Evidently it must be.
I am not going to send it back again and go through all that hassle but that irritates me that the handle is somewhat loose. I doubt if I am going to order anything else from Cold Steel. Just had to whine to someone.
Take care,
FB
