I recently bent the point back on my Munetoshi T10 Light Cutter. The point hit into concrete and rolled back about 1/8 -1/16th of an inch. What can I say, I can be a klutz sometimes.
Is there any way that I can repair this and if so how. I'll try to get pictures of it tomorrow.
Thanks in advance.

I'm glad you posted this, I too just bent my point on my PPK last night. I was walking around in the kitchen with it and smacked it against my door. I didn't know the door was metal until then. The sound it made when it contacted the door told me 'this is gonna leave a mark' . So I'm glad I looked at it. The point is kinda mushed in. It bent mostly to one side. My tools are at a different location so I have to wait until later today to get to them. Since its only like 1/16 of it is messed up, i plan on taking a small file to get the burr out, and stone it until it matches the rest of the curve of the blade.

Any pics? Would be nice to see especially 'before and after' - which hopefully there will be a happy ending.
Good luck in your repairs and looking forward in finding out how to deal with the problem.

I am done....for now. I fussed over it for half an hour and at got the ugly mushed in part out. I used a really fine file and only needed a couple strokes to get the burr. Then used a small fine stone to smooth it all out and kinda blend it back in. Obviously about 1/8 of that section is dull , but its at least smooth and wont catch on anything. I'm not too worried on it being razor point sharp right now as I'm not cutting yet. If it presents a problem in the future Ill worry about it then. I'm happy with it for now.

I spent about an hour this afternoon filing down the bent tip. I've gotten the bent part filed off but that's about all for now. I'll still need to work on reshaping the point and then shapening it back up, but that's something I'll do over the course of time. I have a bad habit of rushing things and screwing them up worse. I figure I'll take this nice and easy and save myself some headaches.

Oh well, now it has more character like a boxer with a broken nose. A friend of mine once made a overzealous cut and chipped the kissaki of my Tenchi against concrete. It's just a tiny little chip and I like the sword more since it gives it some history.

Yep, I see it as it has more character. Like a gun with a scratch on it. It has a story that comes with it
