Nice review Dave, I do always enjoy reading your historical introductions!
Looking at the Kreig and the Templar side by side I think I like the hilt on the Kreig better, the shape looks like it would feel nicer in the hand in both single handed and two handed handling (too many uses of the word hand there!).
One note is that the pommel is more akin to the Type J, as the chamfers leading from the outer disc to the inner are hollowed out rather than the straight transition you'd see in a Type H or Type I for that matter.
Other than that love it, I've been looking forward to this review since you received the sword, and I've not been disappointed! A +1 to you!

Great review, Brett! How would you compare the comfort level of the handle difference between the Krieg and the Templar? I'm a big guy with big hands and the Templar's handle just looks puny next to the Krieg's.
Also, you mentioned that the pommel was peened? I thought that all of the signature series had the hex nut construction.

Another great review, Dave! Incoming karma from me...
@ Wes: I believe him saying it was peened was a typo. You can see it has a hex nut in the 5th photo.

Hi Wes, I wish I could take credit for the great review, not to mention owning all the lovely swords that Dave does, but alas the review is Dave's

Oops, sorry about that lol. I was tired when I posted. Dave: Thanks for the input I feel like I would find the Krieg more comfortable as well just from looking at the side-by-side comparison.

Great review Dave, +1. Btw, I think Signature line uses VA made blades just designed by Gus, or maybe I'm wrong?
