A new face around here

Hi everyone
My name is Gabriel, or Magus on the forum. I'm 23, currently a student working my way towards a Masters in Criminology, I live In Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, roughly 2 hours away from Montreal.
I've been interested in Bladed weapons since a long way back. The first knife i got was a Small swiss made pocket knife when i was 6 or 7 and I've never really stopped collecting them
Over the years i managed to get pretty much every model i wanted, and even if im not in the highest price bracket for them, i tend to look for praticality first (my most recent fav is the Leatherman Model e300 :http://www.leatherman.com/product/e300/e301, which is now replaced with a new model, the C33L Series).
Later on I started to get involved in LARP and i wanted to improve my technique so I joined a Kendo class as the first group of a martial arts school (actually the only one in my region).
Turns out, 6 years later im still training there. I'm also training in the Ryusei Karate-do system and in Goshin Jujitsu.
I've lurked the old SBG forum for some time and I must say, you guys really looks like the most friendly online community out there !
And since i have decided to buy my first Katana (the Munetoshi Kigan) and there was a huge gold mine of information on the old forum, I'll just join in on the new one ^^
