Well I have got to do a review myself on this sword (Yea RIGHT!) No truthfully, and no kidding around. This sword just keeps getting better every time I look at it. I finally received my Brand New Book "Swords of the Viking Age", the book Hank Reinhardt used for us to make this sword (and by the way, Hank "where are you?", have not seen you post yet). Back to the review, Ahem. Guess where the original balance point on this is? I will tell you. It states in the book the balance point is 17.4 cm which equals (6.8503937). So ours balances better at 5.75" where Shootermike measured on his. Here is the other stats as well. Overall length 91.5 cm which equals 36.032" and ours is 37.25" to make the grip more manageable and our guard is a little thicker by a 1/8". Here is why the original grip was 8.8 centimeters = 3.46456693 inches. No way would that be comfortable. The blade length 77.8 centimeters = 30.6299213 inches, we were pretty much right on there. It may be that our little longer hilt helped with the balance, just shows how right on on everything else we were. ;D Please I welcome any feedback! Also we have more coming in 3 to 4 weeks. We welcome any and all pre-orders!

Dear god, tooooo many numbers and stuffs! as long as it handles goods, looks good, and feels good, its fine by me. Never tell me the fine stats (reminiscent of Han Solo's line: Never tell me the odds! ;D) seriously, I wouldn't have at all been saddened if the ballance point was at the 6.8503937 inches (viking swords often had very small grips, though the purpose can only be speculated on.)

Oh I forgot one important revision on this sword.
We have another shipment coming in the end of this month to the first half of April.
Only 2 changes, both the pommel and guard will be carbon steel instead of stainless steel.

It's definately an amazing looking sword. If it handles better than the current Gen2 viking sword then I shall need some surgical pins to keep my jaw in place, considering that the force of it dropping will permanently damage its current mechanical systems.
Though the guard still looks a bit chunkier than the original... that's really the only inconsistency I see.

More of these Witham Viking swords are on the way, and these will have the polished carbon steel pommels and guards. Will I get to keep one for meself? Hmm
