So yeah I have a BKS blade and have been doing some stage combat (which is what i got it for LOL ) But i got some pretty deep burrs on it. I have taken a whetstone (sprayed with rem oil) to it and run it down 15 times on both sides of the blade and the blunted side of the blade too, one at a time. is this enough? or can i do better? Any help would be appreciated boys, thanks!!

I'd take a good mill file to it and smooth out the burrs first - when you get done, they should barely be noticable. Then I would refinish the edge with a sanding sponge. Oil lightly, and you are done.

Before any filing or grinding lightly hammer the affected areas parallel to the blade surface. As the edge is rarely chipped(unless your really wailing!) the metal moved from the strike will still be on the blade. if you have a hard surface and a hammer you can drive that material back near where it started and add years of life to a blade even if you are very hard on it.
You dont have to hit it hard! Just small repeated blows to drive material back. If you can I would recomend polishing the hammer first as it will leave a better finish behind.
Then light filing to remove burrs and sharp spots. I do like those sanding sponges Odingaard mentions to get the surface blended if you want to maintain that level of finish.
