How come every time I leave the forum i have to log back in? I keep checking the spot where it says "automatically log in" when i return. Its annoying to have to keep relogging in every time.

Are you navigating away from the page and then coming back to it, or are you refreshing? I leave a tab open just for the forum and I don't have this problem, even when I refresh the tab. I have noticed this issue with other phpBB forums I belong to though, so I just leave a tab open for them as well.
...Then again, my PC also stays on 24/7...

isn't it a result of automatic cleaning out of browser cookies? So setting changes/exceptions would be required?

When Im home the PC is on all the time. But I do shut down when i go to sleep/work/class etc. Im on several other forums too and they always let me stay logged in unless i do a spyware scan on the computer. Then of course I know all the stuff will have to be retyped in. This is the only forum Im on where i have to keep retyping. I could leave a tab open for when im at home. At least that will lessen the times of retyping it in.
mmm cookies. got the sword here, just need some cookies (insert Homer simpson drooling sound effects)

Ok i figured out a pattern here. I can navigate away from the page and come back and im still logged in, but if I close the browser it will log me out. Now at least I know whats going on

Sounds like this to me. Have you checked your security settings? I know I have Firefox to clear EVERYTHING, EVERY TIME I close the browser, but Safari/WebKit I don't really bother with cleaning up. Never had an issue in the latter two with login here. Only ever logged in twice, and that's just because the first time I forgot to check the box. :roll:
