Thanks, guys. The KC, Chris, this is why, It's a tough sucker and beautiful to boot. The blade has held up great and I love the fittings. Especially the grip, it's octagonal which makes for a good hold and edge alignment. No.

If you would trip and fall in that room it would be like falling into a tree chipper
An impressive and quite varied array.

Thanks, fellas. Fallschirmjager, I take it you're a fellow devotee to the series "Rome" I got both seasons on DVD. About time to watch it again. Anyhow, this may be of interest to you. I found it on Wiki (yeah, I know) doing a search of Titus Pullo. Seems there were a historial Vorenus and Pullo. I don't' know how accurate it is but here's an excerpt. Sounds like them anyway, no?

Excellent display Ric! I don't know what it is about that Ritter Gladius, I never get tired of looking at it.

Thanks, friends. Curtis, I like the look of that Ritter Steel gladius as well, be aware tho that it's heavy and cumbersome to use. Here is a review.

So basically Titus was as badass in real life as in 'Rome'- awesome.
seriously, that is hardcore, fighting back and forth just to show you've got the bigger (brass or bronze in their era?) balls.

I get a quick count of twenty nine usable blades, but don't hold me to it, could be a few stashed someplace I missed and I didn't count knives.
