Ok, I bought a Kris Cutlery Kambun katana from KOA and decided to change out the hideous tsuba. I got everything apart using Jeffery Ching's Koshirae-nuki tool. Well it was hard to remove and once off I noticed glue on bottom of tang, which sucked. I cleaned the tang and now it lacks about an half an inch to fit inside and tries to get stuck by the glue again. The tsuka is in good shape so I'd rather not mess it up. Any opinions will be welcomed.
thanks.

Have you tried hitting on the kashira while the blade is held upright?
