Not only does it suck (Suilen being the sole exception) but it's irrelevant.

I like some of the Yoshida Brothers stuff.
Agatsuma is much better, in my opinion, if someone just wants to hear the sound of a shamisen. Like the Yoshida Brothers, he's not totally traditional (most of his stuff is jazz inspired), but the more traditional songs he does are awesome.

The Yoshida brothers were at Otakon this year and I wanted to go check them out, as I'm rather fond of shamisen, but we were doing other things at the time of the concert.

Yoshida Brothers = good music. I'll admit I first heard their music during the Nintendo commercial . I'm not a fan of shamisen, but I'm impressed with what I hear, especially their fusion music found on the "Yoshida Brothers 2" CD. --Edward

Now if only I could find the soundtrack to "Budo", particularly the music played near the beginning just before the Samurai shows up riding a horse I have found some of the music done by that artist, but only on a long, expensive two CD set with some other stuff that sucked, mostly because the original tracks were all crammed together into huge, mega-tracks w/o any separation
