Howdy, new here and looking foward to getting to know you guys. ;D Just seeing if anyone had tested the waters of these swords on e-bay. Several Gunto mount katanas shipping from China. Are these reproductions or surplus? Just wanted to see if anyone had info on these. CS

Crap... avoid like the plague , youd rather french-kiss a hairlipped rattlesnake while sandpapering a bobcat's ass in a phonebooth than buy a Chinese "gunto".
Welcome.... BTW

I have to say, Marc's response is one of the most blunt and hilarious I've ever encountered on this forum. Can we sticky this when we move?

Although, Hanwei's guntos look really nice, and they're hanwei so you know they're good quality. They're much more expensive than the ebay crap you see, but oooo shiny! ;D

Avoid the fake Chinese gunto swords. Do not think I have ever seen a real one out of the thousands from China on Ebay.
