so i've got this little gerber knife i carry around, mostly for odds and ends...long story short, when i got it, it was hair shaving sharp, and well now, its not. so i try to hone it up a little on my whetstone, but i seem to have only made it duller! any advice for how to hone it up, and bring it back to hair-shaving sharp? could it just be crappy technique on my part? and i know an accusharp wont work, because the angles are differant...
thanks
joel

It might be the stone you are using. And a bad technique doesn't help.

I think you should try an accusharp. I used one to sharped a mates day to day folder and it came up sweet.

depends on the stone and how experienced you are
also for knives the accusharp should be fine
