Hello fellow friend, I find it kind of odd I did not asked the first time around, but does anyone know where is the best source for 'heavy' wooden weapon? By heavy, what I had in mind was something as heavy as the real weapon itself, if not heavier. I have a sharpened gladius but I am kinda leery to train and built wrist strength because it is sharp. The Romans gained reputation for training with wooden sword that weights twice the functional gladius. Any advice will be helpful

Well, I think it might help if you were more specific in what kind of wooden weapon you're looking for. A bokuto (bokken)? A longsword? Also, a general price range would also help, methinks. Unfortunately, I don't know too much on the subject of either.

Sounds like he's wanting a wooden training gladius. If so, you could always have one made. Some woods are denser and heavier than others. You could get it made in Ebony for instance and it should be a pretty darn heavy chunk of timber.
As far as production wooden training gladii? Haven't ever seen any that weren't cheap light-weight replicas of the Gladiator movie wooden sword.
