It may not cut, but the weight of that beast alone would break someone's skull like a grape if you hit them with it... Same end result, just messier.

yeah, 2800$ for an aluminium sword is a little too much...
I could buy a good nihonto with that kind of money....
I must admit though, that the grinding job looks very good and the design itself isn't bad at all.....

''It is 7 feet long and weighs just under 40 lbs. The blade is 1/2 inch thick. It is fully functional''
says it all...

Fully-functional? Um....yeah right..... Yet, I secretly hope someone here buys it so I can make fun of them for the next three years.

I'd be more afraid of the frozen tuna fish. Catch those scales wrong...ouch.
Although...
I do believe we could direct this fellow to a few museums.

Holy video game sword Batman! You would need video game muscles to use than sucker properly!. I wouldn't even use it as a wall hanger because I'd be afraid it would pull down a wall and my whole house would come tumbling down like a deck of cards.
I get the point though, it's a novelty sword and conversation piece. A really large and heavy conversation piece.

''It is 7 feet long and weighs just under 40 lbs. The blade is 1/2 inch thick. It is fully functional'' says it all... Indeed. What exactly is their definition of something that isn't functional? The whole '40 lbs' thing sounds like it was made by one of those people who think historical swords were basically huge slabs of steel and the armour was so heavy that you couldn't get back up alone if you fell over.

Looks like it was made in a grade 8 shop class-right next to the roach clip creators in the paint booth.

If they hardned it up a T-6 then they could have, maybe, sort of, well not so much labeled it as "fully functional"
