I'm not positive, but it looks like a refinished Kris Cutlery dadao to me.

Yes, this is the Kris Cutlery one. I like this dadao very much but somehow for me, the handle was unproportional to the blade, with this i mean that it was too massive and i didn't like the cord that was used for it, so i took out the cord. I carefully split open the handle, the handle was connected with two bamboo pegs. The bamboo pegs were put in from two different directions and the groove for the tang was very precisely made. I did some reshaping and i made it thinner. I put everything back together and i used sisal twine to wrap the handle. I liked the look and it feels very natural in your hands. It took me a long time to wrap the handle because I pulled the string very hard and i used two component (fast drying) glue. I choose this glue because it is made with resin. The resin combine with the twine bonded very nicely and thanks to this the grip on the handle is very firm. I really like this handle. I think im gonna make another handle wrapped with the sisal twine for my dha saber. Overall i am very pleased with this Kris Cutlery Dadao.

Hey szabla, how about a review of that Hanwei dadao! Man, I really like the hilt and the leather wrap! BTW you did an outstanding job on that Kris dao! Great job!
