So here is my mini revue of a Sanko Tuska Sword from the very early time in Japan, from 800's to 1300's. As this is a mini revue, the sword is a mini sword!! My pics suck but I tried, I got this blade from Marc at Wingnitini and with a little work got it razor sharp, the flex of the blade it good, not just some envelope opener!! Looks like a Type X Viking blade by Oakshots Typology, but who's to say what the Japs were doing during the Hinan period?! Yep... It's small... To dark! To fast!! To Slow!! here is one of the green beans I was using as tatami Notice my Cutting stand, candle with Bamboo punk stick. And Can Cut Through THREE Layers Of Cheese!!! My Ugly Mug!! ;D So on to stats, the sword is 7 3/4" long over all. The blade is 6" long. The Tuska/handle is 1 34" Long and made out of Bronze which is a nice touch! My scale wont go that low for the Weight, so I'm guessing it is about 6oz's Comes with a nice stand for the desk and storage box. So yes you can cut with these very small but very real swords. What more can I say, Thanks To Marc At Wingitingi sword supply and hope you liked this tung in cheak revue ....SanMarc.

Good review, SanMarc, and great cutting. I'd give ya a mini karma but they don't make em, so have a whole one.

It's not a bad looking sword, really. I just wish they'd make a full sized version so we could see how they really handle (probably like a viking sword, considering the shape of the blade and the hilt).
Anyways, nice little mini-review on such a small sword. I'm honestly surprised the thing can actually cut.

yeah, I would equate this to a windlas Norse sword, a little latter than my classic in the fuller not going all the way to the tip.
But thats why I wanted to do this and not fake any cuts, first greenbean was cut right in two, my form was off, hard to down scale your cutting form!!
And thanks for the Karma Rick!!
....SanMarc.
