Model 1881 Russian Dragoon Shaska Used by the Persian Cossack Brigade composed of Iranians and Afghans to support the Persians against the British. It was formed in 1879 and commanded by Russian officer's. number is a serial number. It should have a metal scabbard, not leather. I was simply going to say it looked like a Russian saber, to me. That, and I've seen them on Ebay before.
