Hi All I have a Masahiro Kill Bill sword, soon after I got it my cat knocked it over causing the saya to slam into my dresser, chipping it badly, also I took it apart to see the tang, and when I got it back together everything (tsuba, habake, etc) is now loose. I plan to use this as my practice project, so I don't ruin anything nice. I would like any links you may have to detailed sword instructions, such as rattan wrapping (really interested in this, I think a full rattan wrapped saya look incredible) tsuka repair, tsuka ito replacement, anything really. I don't do well with instructions that don't have pictures (I am a visual learner)

If you look on this particular topic about eight subjects down there is the most complete collection of relevant links I have seen ;D The direct link is /index.cgi?board=swordcustom&action=display&thread=1181615951 haven't seen anything on Rattan wrapping though, so good luck with a search on that one Just thought; I'll bump the topic so it's at the top.

The rattan is pretty easy,I could write a tute but I dont have pics of the actual process. Thers a couple of pics of a zatoichi I did here www.ausblade.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7Its really just getting the first wrap square to the saya mouth, then glue, clamp, glue, clamp.
