Hi everybody, I was wondering if anybody knows whether www.samurai-store.com/ is reputable or not. By this I mean if I place an order it will arrive on my doorstep and I won't be the victim of a scam. While I appreciate others suggesting "oh this place is good too", I just want to know if samurai-store.com is reputable...that is all :). - Yakuza P.S I am not endorsing, advertising, or encouraging people to buy from Samurai-Store.com, I just to know if they are legit or not. Thank you :)

I was recommended to go there when I was considering purchasing replica armor. If that's your goal, I say give them a shot. Unfortunately, I have never ordered from them.

First I want to buy a Paul Chen Yari, then if I can determine Samurai-Store's credibility as certain I will definitely buy from them.

Personally I've never brought anything from them but a few folks on Toraba forum have ..... www.toraba.com/forum/threads.asp?forum_urn=182&t_urn=8170If you don't think it's enough to verified Samurai-Store credibility then I think you'll be hard pressed to find a more credible source.

I trust Samurai Store, as I know people who have purchased from them and have had a fairly good dialogue with Kirita-san. He seems, from all accounts, to be a stand up guy.
For the armor itself, Marutake Sangyo is all you need to know. SS sells top notch modern made yoroi.

Samurai Store is good. They have the armor I want (Manufactured by Marutake Sangyo) for less than anyone else would offer it for. It's still out of my price range right now though... Trustworthy company, good prices, quality items.

While I've never bought from them or know anyone who's bought from them, I do know that they have great customer service. A year or so ago when I was considering buying the armor for re-enactment/ren-faire purposes, I inquired about how I could achieve the same look as what's featured on their homepage, as worn by a Mr. Paul Vandermaelen from Belgium. I received an answer a few days later (I asked on a Saturday and the answer was waiting for me Monday morning) that was very polite and easy to comprehend. Unfortunately, most of the ren-faires in my area (about a 1-200 mile radius) have either shut down or "cleaned up" and are no longer fun to attend, and I can't really justify to myself paying that much for a suit of armor that will just sit in my living room somewhere.
