Don't know much about this. Such as who makes it or what it's made out of. It's a replica of a sword found in WoW. Just thought it looked cool and I was wondering if it was worth the $350 (shipped) price he was asking?

Well, if it's the same as this one: www.weaponmasters.com/shopping/FROSTMOURNE-p-17293.html then on one side, it's a decent deal...but one must realize this is strictly a wallhanger. If you're that big into WoW, then it's really up to you to determine if you could justify spending that much money on a non-functional replica of unknown build quality to cover up a part of your wall with.

Functional? Not a chance. Cool? Definitely. Really, man, it's up to you... as a display piece, is that worth $350? [EDIT- basically, what Random said. ] -Slayer

That is a cool looking sword Too bad even if you had the budget to have one built out of good materials, it would probably be too heavy to use

I was thinking of buying one solely for the geek cred. Well, if you're going to start a Warcraft 'Arthas' costume, that's one piece you'll need. --Edward

To answer the two questions you asked in this thread......
I believe windlass or United makes it.
Stainless steel and cast iron for sure. In fact I already know the blade is stainless.
In short it's a $350 SLO with no hope of being even remotely functional. Don't even swing it as the rat tail tang will break. That being said it's really not meant to be functional, it's just meant to look cool and hang on the wall. If your that big of a WoW fan (As I am even though my collection is all about history and function) then go for it. Believe me if money was no object and I didn't need to have a directing in my collecting due to budget constraints I'd most likely by it. Along with a life size Arthus mannequin to display it. +20 NERD HP!!!!!

The sword seems to retails at $430 so if the sword is selling for $350 second hand I would expect it to be in perfect condition. Whether its worth that much I couldn’t say, but its probably more down to personal taste then anything else. Its a wall hanger, there is nothing wrong with that, but just keep in mind that your not going to be able to swing it round. I bet Fable/Brendan would make a battle worthy! Yes Brendan could probably produce a functional version but I should imagine with all that casting you could expect to pay a few thousand dollars for it.

Thanx for all the replys. Kind of what I figured. Just an ornate WH. It is cool but I'm not that much into WoW that I need to get it. I don't even play anymore. Plus, there are many more real swords I'd rather get for the same money!

Good choice to get the real swords.
