Yes, that swiss saber is quite something, isn't it!!? Nathan Robinson, from MyArmoury, had one custom made by Arms & Armor, see here: www.myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=17910&highlight=swiss+sabre+saberLunaman: that "16th century hand and a half sword housed at the Victoria & Albert museum in London", the first you posted a pic of: what a sweet sweet sword! Greg: lol! But seriously, I also need one of those mounted on a turret on my armoured all-terrain truck. Luka: that "German spatha" (spatha?) from Patrick Barta: Many many excellent pics of historical examples of weapons have been posted (and mentioned)! Keep it up! Many would cost an arm and a leg to have made (see swords by Templ/Barta), but we shouldn't be stopped by that: to dream and be inspired is purpose enough...not to mention learning...plus: Who doesn't like a good dose of the ole "swordporn"?! This one has been posted before, around here somewhere, but here it is again (why not?): The sword is nice in itself...but the whole kit is not bad either. (pic from MyArmoury) I also wouldn't mind having a kit like this made: (It would go well with a two-handed sword with katzbalger guard...pic from AgeOfArmour)

The first sword shown in Oakedshott's Record of a medieval sword is an iron age, Le Tene type II or III sword, its beautiful and elegant looking, with a 26 inch blade, double fuller, and a squared off end, making it a purely cutting sword . I’ve never seen any production swords like it, but I would love to have one, ill see if I can find a picture on line of it. here it is: I have had a fascination with that sword for about 6 years now, awhile ago I almost had someone pay me enough to make it. It's shorter than it looks also, shorter than you think.
