Greetings, Just joinded the forum. (Newest newbie noob.) So glad I found SBG. Great site, great reviews. Been a sword geek since I was a kid and banged sticks together. (Like most if not all here.) Got my first "real" sword" in 1988 from Kris Cutlery. (Their "Excalibur", with the green cord-wrapped hilt.) Over the years added three Kolombatovich's, (a Tercio swept hilt with matching dagger, and an Athos cup hilt) a Gen2 Maintz gladius, a Windlass Maintz, an Arms and Armor spear, Windlass Archer's axe, and a Viking shield. (See attached photo, with accompanying bokken, jo, batons, recurve, my college team epee, etc.) Now I know about Darksword, ATrims, Tinkers, Valiants, Odin Blades, BKS... the list goes on. Wife's gonna skewer me with one if I buy just half what I want. But hey, how many pairs of shoes can a woman wear at one time? Have read a bunch on the forum, and it seems like a fantastic community of like minded individuals enjoying their passion for the noblest of weapons. Thanks to all of you who have created such a wonderful place! Attachments:

Welcome Toscano. Dig that mantlepiece presentation; especially the horn! What kind of notes can you get out of it?

Another swordalolic. Welcome home. Perfect display. Just needs a bear skin rug on the floor right in front of it and a couple deer heads on the wall on either side.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm in Marin County, CA. Home to the "original" Living History Center's Blackpoint Forest RenFaire. Worked there for years, at the archery booth, then as costume and skills improved under the title "atmospheric personnel". Which meant walk around, look cool, interact with drunks in street clothes and let them take pictures with you. Miss the hell out of it.
The Tercio swept hilt, dagger, horn and wineskin are from those days. Don't know if I can still get "notes" out of the horn, but I can make different sounds.
I'd love to throw down some skins on the floor and heads on the wall, but the wife is already super gracious about my man room. I've got my drum set in there, my gun safe, a vintage tiki bar, humidor, and my computer. I'm saving what wifepoints I have left for more sharpened steel.
Well, now I'm running late for the dojo. I can see this forum is gonna eat up some real time. Already feeling that addictive pull...
Thanks again for the welcome! Lovin it here.
