I seem to recall hearing that those were all fairly mediocre at best. Never saw any of them from pure disinterest, myself.

Trust me, you've never seen anything like it. That being said, it seems there is no middle ground; you either love it or hate it. But even those who hate it can't deny that the style is revolutionary and that it is extremely well executed. If you can suspend disbelief, you are in for one hell of a ride. I knew I would have to own it within the first five minutes. I have seen literally thousands and thousands of movies (small perk of being a cripple) and Sin City makes my top 25 easily. ~wp

[/quote The watchman is a 3 hour film, so if you watch it make sure you have time. The story was original in the super hero genre. Placed in a realistic all be it weird alternate time. It pokes fun at political view and the human condition, but was still a serious film. It does not rely on a single character to make the film. There is just such an attention to details That is impressive. Sin city is good, but I worry about how allot of filmsg are fallowing in it's example, similar to the story layout of films like pulp fiction, Jackie Brown ex. that many films now copy. Allot of films are fallowing the dark and brooding tone that sin city set. Directors seems to want success as copies than risk failure as originals....
