I often find myself wanting to ask quick questions about a sword or a forging process etc. perhaps there should be a section on this forum deticated to asking and answering questions. It is a little vague of a suggestion, I know, but what do you guys think?

I think the more specific forums we make the more intimidating the board looks as a whole, and the less important the important threads seem.
For example, if we have a Q&A forum, all of a sudden more than half the rest of the forum as a whole gets moved there, and we see a lot of dead topics...
I think it's best we keep the layout as is, and keep the questions being asked in the forum that's appropriate to the specific question in question.

I agree with Adam. We have a lot of boards as it is with some overlap. Often I don't see a post until it has been up a few days and a number of people have responded to it.

i have to agree as well, i really hate it when forums specialize their areas too much, this layout is perfect, don't change it

I agree with what you guys are saying, but, too often I find myself wanting to ask a question and can not seem to find a section that relates to the questions topic. However, I do realize now that I won't sway your opinions, so from now on I will ask all my questions at "sword history" or " misc history" sections, which will surely suffice.
