I won't say it is historically accurate although it seems like a good durable sword for the price. First the weight seems a pound heavier and to handle something close to 3.5 lb might need a PoB much closer to hilt. A celtic blade weights 2lb or less with PoB about 6-8 from hilt. In short, it does not handle like a typical celtic sword. A Deepeeka celtic sword would be closer both in handling and historical accuracy compare to Gen2 but I highly doubt Deepeeka are better sword compare to Gen2. Though it is a lot more expensive, some of Patrick Barta's work on Celtic sword are nothing short of amazing: www.templ.net/english/weapons-antiquity_and_early_middle_age.phpThere are other options out there. I would recommend KC Celtic sword as it has nicer blade shape (it is a personal taste) and handles closer to a celtic blade. Deadly functional though you might not like the hilt or the overall shape of the sword. Another option would be Hanwei Celtic sword...not too sure on its functionality but it looks similar to Gen 2. When it comes to affordability and historically accuracy, deltin celtic sword gets my vote "]http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=DT204A&name=Del+Tin+4th+Century+BC+Celtic+Sword] but the sword does not come sharpened and lacks a scabbard. A shorter version of Deltin looks decent but should handle closer to a gladius than a celtic longsword. In short, plenty of choices but almost none meets all three criteria: historical accuracy/functional/affordability. Should you? It is a decent, functional sword that looks like a Celtic sword but I personally would not consider it historically in terms of handling and weight.
