I'm looking to add a repro saber to my wall, and was considering the Nashville Plow Works saber. How close to the original is the repro? Any "made in India, etc." on the blade? Your thoughts?

Greetings, If the one you are looking at is from Windlass, I think it would be a good buy. I've got a couple of their military replicas (1840 NCO sword and the long discontinued Revolutionary war hanger). Both have served me well so far.
Cheers

I have had like five of MRL's 1860 Lt. Cav Sabres and all were well made and none had "Made in India" on the blade, just proper markings and dates such as "Ames.....", etc.

Just looked at this sabre on KoA's website, it is nice. I might add this to my collection.

That is where I ordered mine. Made by Windlass. Seems to be the least expensive one offered. I plan to rough it up a bit and give it an antique look.
