I think some was over looked when one fights for more than them selves ....... like say if your family or friends are threatend .... the lake of concern for pain or your own survival can spawn strength and furry otherwise found only in animals ....... a man fighting to protect others will fight as if all the fires of hell burn within his soul

What weapons are you fighting against the kendoka?[/img] Ramm: I use a combination of weapons, everything from bokken to bo staff to chinese broadsword. I don't currently have a medieval waster or I would use that as well. Kendo may be a sport but it is a sport with serious combat applications because of how fast they are and how they move. My kendoka friend is also an accomplished practitioner of ninjutsu and he is the most gifted instinctive fighter I have ever had the pleasure of getting my arse kicked by. Now I am at a place where I can hold my own but boy when he starts mixing kendo and ninjutsu that is when it gets hard. I don't learn to use a sword to kill people, I learn for health and to centre myself for my own self development. My other martial arts and CQB and knife fighting, well that I practice so that I know i can defend myself or my fiance and one day, family against any aggressors in any situation. I don't condone the killing of a person but if they threaten me or mine then they forfeit their rights to being pain free.

Today was Clinton of Stoccata's last day in Hong Kong, and the first day Travis from New York (kendo and fencing background). I just finished my lunch when they arrived and I almost threw out from the first sparring with Travis. Me vs Travis Me vs Clinton (I tried to stay by text book techniques) Lung vs Clinton Lung vs Travis (Lung didn't take any break in between) Travis vs Kalun (Kalun is moving to NYC soon too, so I'm sure they will meet again over there)

I live in NYC, tell Kalun to send me an email a few months after he settles in for some practice. We can do some sparring and I can also get him into my WMA practice. It only costs $20 a month. We don't spar much in that group, that is technique only. I can direct him to other groups for sparring.

Thanks a lot for your offer! He needs more techniques than sparring I think, indeed. That'll be good.

(Lance you've got the funniest laugh - waa ... haha! Good fighting!)

Here I was trying to put German longsword techniques into application when freeplay with a Taiwan Chinese Martial Artist with Miao Dao background. Whenever I was hit, I signal the opponent about where it was, so it is easy to tell who was hit. (eg. When I didn't signal, it was my friend)
