I have been back-stabbed by my wife... threw a glitch in the system she said she had the option to 'smite' me... I said 'No, that option doesn't exist anymore...' she said 'Oh yeah? I just smote you!' Sure enough... I checked, and I was down 1 karma. I have been smote... by my WIFE!!! Oh, the humanity... To be fair, he was asking for it! Never tempt the woman with the "you can't do that to me" statement. It leads to no good .....Thank you, my sister in arms, for serving this great country of ours. Always know your service is appreciated! and remember, friendly fire, isn't. Karma inbound. Jim

I see this outpour of support for my wife... who SMOTE me... and I am thus betrayed again, this time by my fellow sword brothers! I have been among you for 2 years now... I have tried to be helpful and kind... ...and THIS is how I am rewarded?!? People praising my wife for bringing the smite upon me?!?!? With a heavy heart this fat, old warrior sees how it is.

Shadow....or Sean, if I may.....I feel your pain! But we asked for it by getting married in the first place LOL. Herself will smite me in a heartbeat, but her love for me is irreplaceable. I praised Miz Foxy for her service to our country. She's a keeper....hold on tight! Jim

Marriage is like judo. Mostly my wife turns my own stupidity against me. Sounds more like Aikido... I've always regarded the two as very similarly themed arts. I don't know if it was because my father black-belted in each of them, but I'm quite fond of both. All my experience was as a kid, and in judo, but I was quite fond of the reactive elements that were implicit in each.

ROTFLMFAO! Well now, looks like someone needs a time out. Don't be sad my sweet Sean, good things are coming your way. Like bottle cutting and sword and dagger reviews. I'll even give you a karma now that I have the option back from when I smote you. I'm off to sleep. Early day for me tomorrow.

I have seen the "Smite" button reappear from time to time. Hmmmm...suddenly, I don't feel quite so bad that my wife doesn't hang out here at the forum.

LMAO-thankyou thankyou thankyou-at this late hour this has been my first laugh of the day and very much needed.Sean-in all my 38 yrs of marriage I have learned very early on these simple trueths which I shall now share with you.The only answer to your wife is yes-when it doesnt get done you say I forgot, sorry. And remember-it is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.I have the simple belief that if my wife is happy-so is my home, and to be truethful I cannot ever remember angry words between us ever-Oh-beer/wine helps at times.Thats it from me guys and a karma for SH-we are blade brothers after all.Ill sneak one in to the Mrs. later when I recharge just for her wit-Yrs DJ

From time to time I find myself wishing I'd made a note of the URL for a smite. Meantime I just use my phone on its horrendously slow connection and "stop" the page before it's finished. Accidentally smote someone not too long ago, in fact. Was trying to double-tap the screen to zoom in and apparently only one tap registered...on the smite button...which hadn't "hidden" yet. Oops. Naturally, I let them know and fixed it at the next opportunity.

Wow... I didn't know so many people still had acsess to the smite... I wish my connection was slower now, I sometimes wish *I* had the smite. I feel left out. Alas, if anyone was truely worried, the 'smite session' was all light hearted... I was shocked that it was still an option and surprised when my Foxy did it to me... but never upset, it was just funny to tease her for having smote me.

how does a wife smite a husband? ONE SENTENCE... "honey, buying a sword is not in the budget right now" Cue the sad Charlie Brown music.

I have a reasonably zippy DSL connection, I suspect it's the combination of Firefox and NoScript that causes the "Smite" button to occasionally appear, based on what someone else said (I'm too lazy to go look it up now) but I haven't noticed it having anything to do with slow page loading, though it is when the page is loading. It sometimes appears for a flash as the page loads.

+1 for forestfox for beating the system and smiting her husband for saying she couldn't.
Fastest way to get anything done is to tell someone they can't.
