OK, so here is my first CAD design...my unaided drawing ability is pretty poor. I will try to do a katana next...

Way too much hilt. That blade would be pommel heavy to an extreme level in any size (what is the size, anyway?).

oh, i guess i should have included that....
hilt overall: 13" handle part: 11" pommel 2" diameter quillion block: 10"
blade length: 37" blade width at base: 3"
I will try to fix the blade...make it ...bigger!

OK so I have made some changes, and I think everything is in order. I have attached a zip folder with the pictures in it, it is a lot easier than thumbing 6 pictures.... Attachments:

So, for the people who don't want to download the zip folder, I have put the updated sword pics into this post. Also, I decided to make a scabbard...it is a bit clunky, but it was my first try at making a scabbard so get off my back! full sword with accurate dimensions(in meters): close up of the hilt: and a look at the new blade: here is the sword with a darker handle and scabbard: Keep in mind I had a lot of trouble making the chape for this scabbard...I am still working out some of the tools in sketchup. Here is a close up of the throat: anyway, let me know if you guys like this any better
