I posted this here since it's not really a review, just some of my impressions. First up, for your viewing pleasure: The handling feels odd after katanas, but is pretty cool.. Since the balance point is so low, you can feel all the weight very close to your hands. After handling this thing, my Tenchi felt like a toothpick. Speaking of which, I cut a few bottles (first time in 5 months) and I actually did BETTER with this than my kats (It's my first straight blade). I had a couple of "baseballs" at first, but the last cuts were very clean. On the last one I even managed that sweet "SHWING" sound you can hear in Shadowhowlers cutting vid. The edge is certainly sharp enough on mine, not "scary sharp" but it does the job for sure. Everything's nice & tight, the blade is just a tad off to the side from the guard I think, but you really have to know to look for it to notice. Also, I forgot to take a picture of this, but there's very little gap between the blade and guard, they fit together nicely.

Looks like all the time was worth it then, as they seem to have corrected some of the issues we saw in the first few off the line

Thanks for the pics Ceph. I love mine, even with all the flaws. When I get my Leaf I can send them both off to Sonny for scabbards.
