Albion has been putting out a few raw blades at a time lately, they definatly need some work but they look OK and their always gone fast.I just bought #0055 which looks like a Conan blade and for $40.00 I'll take the chance.Theirs a few left take a look. www.albion-swords.com/moat.htm

Actually yes, when you discard a few blades before getting it "right", that costs...

I had 6 of these rusty swords shipped to me in Canada. Two packages. UPS charged me $380. Yes, $380. About $85 of that was GST. They refuse to use USPS. Keep this in mind.

I offered on the other thread about MOAT stuff to have any items shipped to me, and then I will forward using cheapest means (or consolidate etc).
PM me if you cant find it or want more info. I will be offering many types of swords (apart from my own) with minimal overseas shipping shortly, as an Aussie in Texas I understand the frustration of spending more than an item cost in delivery.
Cheers,
Rob

Man, i feel your pain, but... then again youve been robbed ! Sure its UPS, sure they're f*&%?$g steelers, but 380$ for 6 blades !!! Its probably way more than what the package worth ! I had 9 blades delivered to my place in one package ( it was an error, lucky guy i'm a sword collector too, he's at Quebec, i'm at Montreal and we share the same name ) for 95$ ! 380 ! I wouldnt have paid for it ! What were the blades you ordered ? ( some albion blades may be worth the fees ! ) By the way, if you cant, i know someone in BC that can work on your blades is you need it.

I did not pay yet. 3 were bare blades and 3 were antiqued, complete, minus grip. The first package was run as articles of iron, and dutied $33. The second was run as other ornaments, base metal, and suffered no duty. I payed Albion $100 USD for the two to be shipped. UPS wants another $128.24 for #1, and $137.55 for #2. I have mailed UPS, stating that I will pay when the $33 duty is removed. (I payed heavy tax dollars for politicians to get drunk and entertain hookers when NAFTA was instigated).
The antiqued swords state that they can be completely restored with considerable time and effort. This is bullsemprini. Two out of the three that I received were repeatedly slammed against steel. Very many deep chips. You can certainly achieve a pitted, beaten, found near a dead body appearance. Nothing else though. The guards and pommels are also unfinished and crude. Some of them also are void of the peen block.
Nice swords, and I am pleased to have them, but you must be tolerable.
I will not tolerate UPS again.
