I just placed an order for my very first sword through a web site that has been highly recommended through SBG. Strange thing is I can't seem to get in contact with anyone in customer service via by phone or email to check the status of my order which was placed this past Sat.
Out of respect i will not publicly name the site, but if you think you can help, PM me for more info.

It may help if you mention the site as the owner may be a member here or others may be having the same problem.

I wouldn't worry, Eggman. I've bought from AOV before without issue, as have a lot of others on the forum. I don't recall the response time but there's probably a good reason they aren't answering. The owner is a member here, trueswordsman. Shoot him a PM.

AoV is Jason Ryan. A very stand up individual; but busier than the one legged man at the (ya know ).
He is a very active SCAer so he probably spent the weekend getting his bell rung someplace. Great guy. PM him and he will definately catch up with you.
First sword I bought from him something went a little sideways and he made a point of calling me and getting things straightened out. Been my go to guy for the makers he vends.

Sorry to cause you worry. I just replied to your e-mail. The Atrim Practical Long Sword is currently out of stock. I will have an ETA for you as soon as I hear back from Sonny.

Only when they got him mad by calling him an SCAer. The proper term is SCAdian. m'Lord, SCAdian. Soon to be Sir, Scadian.

Brothers and sisters, we live in a world of tragedy. Let us celebrate the good.
Eggman ordered HIS VERY FIRST SWORD from someone highly recommended here--a nervous step, let me assure you! (In "my realm" I have vendors and/or contacts for swords, kilts, guns, and, umm, some other stuff, but in those realms I have experience.)
A problem, or a potential problem, arose. Thanks to our community, it was quickly resolved. Ain't that why we're here?
PS: AOV and trueswordsman hooked me up with a nice sword that I quite like, with quick shipping and no problems.

Actually waitin' on a sword from AoV meself. Can't wait. Really, stupid UPS needs to send me the friggin' tracking number so I can sit in front of my computer press F5 all day! Hey, eggman, congrats on the first sword! Whaddya order?! *Sniff* I remember my getting my first sword. It brings nostalgia to me eyes, it does.... Arrgh. ... There's no sad story behind this. ;P The VA 304's been outta stock for a good while, it seems. Like, on and off. That thing's too popular for it's own good. Kinda like the 'real' Atrims, lol. [Gotta get me grubby fingers on one of those one day, yes?] Yeah, putting out an order during or right before the weekend, you're usually gonna get a short waiting period of... that weekend. UPS and such really should ship on weekends so we can get our swords earlier lol.

Dom T., what sword did you order. I will follow up on it for you and let you know the status.
Yes, I have the biggest tournament of my life this Saturday, so apologize if anything falls through the cracks.

So I have finally made my chioce. Though I have to wait just a bit longer for it, i have chosen the ATRIM long sword. It was a close call between that and the GEN 2 Black Prince. But I have to admit, once I saw the Atrim I just couldnt let go. I guess the Black Prince will just have to wait. Thanks again for all your support, especially trueswordsman.

Oh, hey Jason, it'sa me, with the Windlass XIV. Hahah, it rhymes if you... never mind. XD
Last time I checked, we sorted out all of the details and stuff. It's just UPS hasn't sent the tracking number to me. Evil, evil "brown". They can get my sword to me faster, that's what they can do for me.
*Oh, and best of luck with the tournament! Win a trophy or something, and do us all at SBG proud! Oooh, and lotsa pictures! Pictures, pictures, pictures!

It is the last of the Windlass type XIV Arming Swords. We had loaned it out for a movie production and just got it back. Yes, it is sharpened, but not shipped yet. I found some rust spots on it that need to be cleaned off. Apparently the props master did not realize finger prints would leave rust spots. We will get it all cleaned up and out as soon as we can.
