Thanks agaian everyone for the advice. He stopped replying to my e-mails so I started the dispute process with PayPal earlier today.
I hate to do it.... but I gotta.
We'll see what happens next.

Good move there. Sucks that things like this happens. Looking forward to hear more about it.

Yeah, it does suck. But it pisses me off too. I hope you will follow this through to the end and post an appropriate evaluation of your transaction experience in the feedback section both here and on the forum you found the offerred sale at so that no one else will suffer the same way.
We all take a leap of faith when we buy something over the anonymous internet and because of places like this forum we usually feel a little more security in purchasing from other forum members. We all work hard for our money and when a deal is brokered, we expect to recieve the promised merchandise that hard earned money was spent on.
We need to know who is not trustworthy.

Well.... guess what? Got an e-mail today, said he was in a car accident, shipped my sword out today and gave me a tracking number, the number doesn't work but that might be UPS, usually takes a day before the tracking numbers work. I got plenty of time with PayPal so I'm not worried. We're in the same state so it should get here quick. Do I believe the car accident story a day after I started the dispute with PayPal?..... meh. Doesn't matter really, we'll see what I get in a couple of days from UPS. Like I said I got plenty of time with PayPal. In a way I hope the car accident story is bogus, I would rather have him just being busy or lazy in shipping my sword and making up a story than actualy being in a car accident. As long as I get a sword or my money back I'll be happy. The wait sucked but good things come to those who wait, right?

Don't you dare stop the legal pressure on him because of this recent "car accident" story. Sounds way too much like another thread we have here where a guy found out he was pregnant and his cat just had puppies and his wife just lost her job as a pole dancer!

Again thanks everyone for the advice. I got my sword today. Just shy of one month... Little bit worse condition than I expected but I knew it was beat up and it's a sword I am going to learn on, not just how to use but also repair and spruce up. For the price I paid I can't complain too much. The sword is decent and damaged in the places he said it was damaged but the stuff it came with was more messed up than I expected, like one saya is broken so he bought a replacment saya and included both, but the replacment saya has a dime sized dent and chipped down to the wood and another spot looks like it was hit with a blade... Guess I'll have two sayas to practice refinishing with, LOL. So yeah, I guess next time if the guy hasn't shipped in say 10 or 15 days, start the "resolution" with PayPal. You can still be nice just do it through PayPal. In the message I sent to him through PayPal I simply said I haven't heard back from him in a week and it's been over 20 days and "regretfully" I am filing this dispute. Did I handle it well?

I think you did.
Probably far better than I would have handled it.
Glad it all worked out.
