I had my first cutting session this weekend. Holy crap, now I GET it. ;D
No pictures, sorry! I didn't think to take any, lol. I just had some water bottles, a juice bottle, and a couple of those big vinegar bottles. And I also had an old "Kid Kick" punching bag target that had been sitting outside for years, I went to town on it. "Backhand" cuts (away from my body) were all pretty easy once I figured out the feel, but cuts towards the center were more difficult. And that modified Windlass is EXCELLENT, it makes a beautiful ringing sound that's just plain addictive. A big thanks to Nathan C. for that one!

Welcome to the end of all of your sanity. From now on, the only thing you'll be able to do when you see a plastic bottle is stop your sword hand from twitching....

The first time your blade goes through a bottle you stand there dumb founded thinking "Did I DO that? " and this big grin splits your face wide open. Congratulations, welcome to the addiction!

Now that spring is here, myself and a couple of sword buddies are planning a cutting party I have been saving milk bottles all winter, and may have as many as a hundred, plus all kinds of other bottles At least one of the guys will be getting to cut with a sharp sword for the first time ;D
