Yes; the carbon content of the rods was so close to each other that there is not a lot of contrast.
Plus, I suck at photography.

Still, I think a full polish on the blade could really bring it out. Although, I would actually like to test the durability of the legendary Wootz against modern steel, particularly North American modern steel. But that is based on personal reasons.

Very nice. I've been thinking of picking up a dagger in this style, and strangely enough the only reason I haven't is I can't find one with a blade under 6 inches. Well, whaddaya know, eh?
