The problem is having too much. The novelty of these things passes away so quickly. Were it possible to start over I'd have only bought my dagger and a pole-hammer and then quit. Less is more, as we don't seem to realize until we've already spoiled that innocent idealism forever. Who is this "we" you speak of? I get excited about every new sword I buy. Too much? Not a problem for me. Funnest? Hard to answer that. I guess I would have to say my Krieg. It is still my surest cutter. I feel like I can cut a car in half with it. And it looks great doing it

Can't say I get any of these feelings with anything of mine. I'm wondering if my real niche isn't pole arms. If I can ever get monies I'll pick one up and have a go. Meantime, my swords, daggers, guns, bows, even axes and clubs (bats lol) aren't "doing it" for me. But every time I pick up a long rod...like yesterday at work, I was putting together a curtain rod to show a lady how long it actually was...all I could think of is how many ways I could use this thing as a weapon... Oh, no, I hope she is ok.

I don't like it, I thought it was flimsy and the balance felt strange in the hand, it is not something I would feel comfortable cutting with. It is an acquired taste. as for flimsy, not really. I read up on the CS model, and it sounded way too heave for such a short weapon. The Hanwei handles very good once you get used to it, and since the blade is light the balance wasn't that hard to adjust to. If you have seen my vid of how it handles (wasn't my best work, since that was the first time that I handled it at any speed) you can see that it can be maneuvered very well. Since then one of the guys found a youtube vid with a form for it. I am not totally fond of the form, but will be able to modify it with some practice, to fit my persona.

It's strange, I don't know why so many women want to know how long the rod is. I'd totally get a naginata if I could find one that wasn't a piece of crap, fully-mounted, for less than $400. Ideally less than $200, or would $100 be pushing it? Hell, I can't even find where to buy a wooden one. Except those stupid-looking bamboo shinai-type...things.

Raven Studios can make you one, but her work cost almost as much as an actual Naginata would. I can't vouch for the quality as I haven't been able to afford anything from her yet, but I know enough serious martial artists that swear by her quality.

They don't fall into "piece of crap," no; but they don't really falll into the "less than $400" either. Granted, it seems KoA's dropped the nag price quite a bit since the last time I looked, but even $395 is a bit much for me right now. Good to know it's down a bit, though. Not much into the Chinese arms, though.

Out of the three swords I used (Masahiro Kill Bill Bride's Sword, Gunto Katana Replica, Windlass Giant Ceremonial Kukri) my Kukri was the funnest to use. It was heavy and the momentum would pull my body with it in a 180 degree spin, but it sailed through everything it front of it.

For bottle cutting, my UC Katanas and Samurai 3000 Katana, for just picking up, swinging carefully while inside when the weather is nasty outside, and getting pictures taken with, my Tinker GSOW. Holding the Tinker GSOW just gives me the feeling of "Bring it On" ;D
