I was just wondering, because I sent in a question to him about the SBG entry level sword about maybe 2 weeks ago, but haven't received a response.

From the little I know, Paul is frequently very busy and always busy. However, he does try very hard to answer his pms and e-mails. I suggest that you send him again your question, by e-mail, and he will gladly answer you.

Even though Paul is always extremely busy, he genuinely cares about fellow enthusiasts and his subject, as Seb suggested, I would drop him another email, it may take him several days to get through the hundreds of emails he gets, but through personal experience, get back he always does atvvb Bill

Paul doesn't get on the forum much. The best way to contact him is through the "Contact" form on sword-buyers-guide.com.

Paul Has been ridiculously busy lately. He told me recently that it can take him up to 6 hours just to get through his emails...yeesh. I would try to be patient given the circumstances, try again when you can, and if the question isn't Paul-specific, then try giving everyone else a try.

Well, the question was, that if I could get one of the fittings from the professional line kats onto the entry level kats, (not really a big fan of the Tsubas and Fuchi and Kashira offered) the one I'm looking at is the TOT084: "The Hunting Hawk" (I'm a big sucker for birds hehe)

blade - Those katanas come from two entirely different forges, so my guess is a resounding "probably not!" Sorry dude.

You could get the tsuba, fuchi/kashira and menuki here... From then on you could customize the fittings on any production sword you like, or get someone here to do it for a reasonable price Hope that helps.

Yeah, but the only problem with that is, I will need to redo the ito wraping for the menuki and stuff, and I have no experience what so ever. Lol

You got to start sometime, and I KNOW there are tutorials for all this stuff in the Japanese sword section, Nihonto fanoboyu (if not Otaku) being what they are.....

Lol True with that, you could learn to pick it up, or ask someone here to do it for a price of course. Speaking of Hawk fittings, you might be interested in Hanwei Raptor series. Great entry blades with good balance/blade shaping and solid construction (and raptor/hawk fittings) and pretty darn tough. The only complaints are the mediocre polish, somewhat large looking handle, somewhat plain look, no hamon and perhaps minor cosmetic defects.
