Hey, I'm curious of what kind of items the community uses to polish their swords (sandpaper or some kind of stone). Because I am new I want to see what others use.

I use sand paper of varying grits, ranging from 240 grit to 1200 grit.

you asking what we use for an already finished blade or for polishing one from scratch?

Hold up, I got a question, when you are using sand paper to "sand" down the sword, does this mean you are refinishing the blade?
Yeah, so what do you use when you want to refinish a blade, and what do you use to polish it when it is already finished?

I use the Tom method, the manual one, but I clamp down the sword and move the paper, not vise-versa.
Though if I had the belt sander I'd totally do it that way:
