Kungfu Hustle has some good stuff for soft kits. That first pic, though, represents at least 4 different dynasties and 3 different regions. I can't tell on the guy facing opposite the others. Too little view of the front of his gear. www.chinesekungfuhustle.com/That's where I got all this (minus the sword, but plus the shoes you can't see): Edit: Oh and the Queue was done special by a local wig shop to match my hair. The hat actually came with one in black yarn. Cheapened the whole hat, gluing the yarn queue on it. Edit 2: Granted, this kit is either Jin Dynasty or Qing Dynasty (both wore the same stuff in court, but the Jin were more into the furs for regular wear (it's cold in the North)), but they also have some good Han stuff there.

For garb those SCA Boots look awesome. Very reasonable prices too. I had seen similar boots at Pennsic averaging $250. The boots on that site are averaging $150 cheaper.
For fighting, I prefer a pair of work boots, $35. I want to be able to lace them up to give me good angle support. I get good traction on most surfaces. I wear through my shoes too fast to justify investing any serious money. On average I get 4 months out of a pair so I look for value. I wear greevs over them so they are not very visible anyway.

Not to resurrect a thread but has anyone bought boots from ArmStreet? armstreet.com/home.htmlI hear good things about their clothing and I emailed to ask and I gather they'll make their boots to fit my crazy wide feet without charging me extra, sounds like a really sweet deal to a guy who's always wearing shoes that are too tight.

Well, they';re custom-remaking their Khatangu Degel armour for me, so I can't imagine them not custom making some boots extra wide...

I wasn't very clear, in what I wrote, I was wondering if people had good or bad experiences with their boots. For a pair of custom made boots the prices seem pretty darned reasonable, I was just hoping to hear from someone who had bought from them. If not, I may be the first to report on their footwear.
